Money taken from bank account without permission?

Question

I use a bank a ccount from BMO and recently someone/ something has been taking $48 every month from my checking account without permission, and I have NO idea why. I never had ANY money in the first place and now I have a balance of negative $97.
I thought it was Paypal, but I haven't gotten any notification of any transaction on my Paypal itself, and I can only view it on my bank account. I haven't linked anything else to my bank account except PayPal so far, as I've just recently opened the bank account.

This is what it says:

July 24, 2015 -- DC BR.0072 | -$48
Aug 31, 2015-- DC BR.0072 | -$48

My balance right now is a negative (-) $97.45.

Hi I just had this today and checked it out at the bank. I had the exact code and $48 dollars taken out too.

Incase you haven't fixed it yet or for future people with this problem here is why.



e.g. You purchased something from ebay and your bank is connected to paypal. Ebay item costs 10 dollars but you only have $8 dollars in the bank. Paypal cant go through with the transaction and BMO then charges you $48 for insufficient fund transaction. Paypal will try again in a couple days to see if you have enough money. If not, you will be charged another $48 from the bank.

Ask your bank where it's going.

Ask the bank...they can see where it is going and put a hold on future payments
