a customer has claimed that they paid the money for an item but there were no sign of the payment to my paypal account, so I did a little research on this problem and someone has said to check if my paypal email address I put on my listing is correct

here were his construction

To double check your PayPal email for the sold item, do the following:

- Relist the item you just sold.

- Go all the way down at the bottom and click on Edit Listing or something similar.

- Go down to PayPal or something like that (I can't remember exactly).

- Check whether the PayPal email you entered was correct.

And thats when I found out the email address in there was wrong, instead of ____@live.com it said ____@love.com which that does not exist.. I have no clue how this happened, its so ridiculous and never happened before as I never change my email address

so my question is, how can ebay let the seller paid to a paypal account that does not exists? because the customer claimed that they have paid and money has gone out of her bank.. but where do her money go to if that email address does not exist? the main question is, how can i fix this problem because I dont have my money?
Is there a way I could get my money?

Thanks for your help

If the ...@love.com doesn't exist, it will show as "unclaimed" at his end.

You advise him to cancel the Paypal transaction (within Paypal) and re-send you the funds using "pay for goods" on paypal and entering the ebay item number in the description.

Short answer "you" can't fix it, only he can.

I just had this problem myself and it seemed like I'd have to cancel the payment and get the buyer to send the funds to my correct address.

But by chance I got a hold of a really cool PayPal rep when I called back for an unrelated issue and she did me a "one time courtesy" by having me add the incorrect email to my PayPal account, then she verified it (I obviously couldn't) so I could get the funds, and then she deleted the incorrect email immediately after because it was obviously a bad address.

The only problem for me is that now I've found two other transactions that this same bad email was used on and I don't know if I can count on this method working again. It might heavily depend on the rep I get on the other and and how well they understand the situation. It might have helped that I had an eBay rep on the line with me too to verify how it looked from their end.

You must call PayPal ASAP and tell them what happened. They will be the only ones who can help you. I know several years ago I had a situation with a buyer who apparently had a PayPal account with several other people (I don't know if they were scammers or what the deal was). Anyway, I cannot remember what went down but I think I needed to refund them a shipping overage. Well, when I did that the guy claimed he never got his money - even though it went back to the account the money originally came from. The guy then claimed he could not get into this account because that was not his e-mail address. This is when he told me several people used this particular PayPal account. I told him to tell his business partner to forward him the money - well he couldn't do that either (scammers again). Anyway, PayPal told me that after 30 days if the money was not claimed, it would go back to you. BUT if that e-mail you used was on accident is a real e-mail that person who has the LOVE e-mail will of course accept free money. This is why you must call PayPal NOW otherwise you might be out of luck here. You are of course still obligated to send the item to the buyer or EBAY will hold you responsible.

Instead of wasting time asking questions here, just give Paypal a ring and explain what's happened/ask how to put it right. The customer isn't at fault; you are the one who gave the wrong e-mail address, so make sure she is kept informed and not kept waiting for the item when she has already done what's required of her.

Thats rubbish - the payment would bounce back to the buyer with that email addy. And its her problem to sort, not yours unless you have the wrong email addy on ebay/paypoo.
