Im trying to buy a house but i cant get a loan?

i tried to get a mortgage loan but i couldn't get it because my credit score was low because i had too many inquiries. So this is my question........ i only have about $2,000 in credit cards do ull think that if i pay them all off my credit score will go up and would be able to get the loan???

Every time someone makes a inquiry about your credit report, your credit score will drop that is why you have a too low of score with too many inquiries. So just keep making your payments and hold off on trying to get anymore credit cards or loans until you keep making monthly payments on your credit card on time and your credit score will increase.

No, don't do that, but one thing I would do in these tumultuous days is join a local Credit Union. They used to be difficult to get into and only if you worked for the company that they were affiliated with but now many if not

most are now community based. So if you work or live in their geographical area you can join.



Go in and talk with a loan officer or branch manager and ask them the same question you asked here. They can be a terrific help.



Their a non profit organization and you are treated as a member, not a customer. They have

cheaper rates of interest on loans and pay better interest rates on savings, CD's etc. (Banks hate them)

If it's only from a property that you already have a loan on then you're out of luck. You'll have to show that you have the financial means to pay another mortgage. If you don't have a job and can't afford the down payment then you clearly don't have the means.

Stop applying for credit. Too many inquiries means that you've been applying for too much credit, whether you've been approved or not.
