When I look at my credit history, items that should have been removed after a banckruptcy should have been removed, but still remain. How do I challenge these and get them off my credit history?

get a copy of all 3 credit reports. just disputing on one wont fix the problem. Write them a letter stating inaccuracies or use the online reporting thru their website. they by law have I think it's a couple of weeks to verify the debt/bad debt is valid or they MUST remove it from your credit bureau. In the mean time they should mark it "in dispute" on your credit bureau if youre trying to buy a car or something in the mean time. they might take that into consideration or maybe not. sometimes you can go straight to that co and dispute and they can update the inaccuracy to the cbr immediately.

I consider my self an expert when it comes to credit reports. First you need to go to all three credit bureals online, transunion, equifax, experian, Then you need to go to dispute items, ON experian they even have easy prompts to help you dispute items, You are intitled to a free credit report every year just ask for it, or if you were denied credit you get a free one that way. I hope i helped you some.
