All accounts that were open with my ex wife have been paid in full and closed since 2006. My ex wife re-married 3 years ago we have been divorced for at least 6 yrs. I moved out of state until this years and re married to another woman.

So why has one credit report agency and intellius have my ex wife listed as my current spouse, have me listed under here current address that I have never lived at nor received mail. Why did she keep our old number and only has it listed under my last name. She took her new husband's last name and has a separate phone number listed under his last name.

Tracking down creditor and removed it from my report on Experian had it listed. Online almost everywhere it has my full name linked to her number, address and to her old name. I'll make one up and say My name is Tom Smith and His is Angela Thomas but it will list her usually as Angela Smith. Some places have her and her new husband listed as Smith my last name like we are all related and living under the same household.

I haven't asked her yet because I didn't want to accuse of anything it just could be some really big mistakes. My current wife who switched all her stuff over a year ago is still having trouble with creditors with her new name because of this. She can only be searched online under her maiden name and mine is not linked to her under possible relative.

Are you sure there are no joint old loans or current credit cards?

Check all 3 reports for this. Not just one at Annual Credit Report.com

All 3 reports are free once a year

Dispute that address on your reports

I'm suspecting something - not good

She might be opening utilities in her name such as cable, water, etc

Do you know if she has extreme money problems? This would be a red flag

I would put a fraud alert on all 3 reports if she has money problems

Remember: She has your social, date of birth etc.

A fraud alert though means that you will not be able to open credit in your own name

A freeze will not help if she has already opened these utilities in your name

She's up to something - and it's not good

I would call utility companies in her area, and ask if there are accounts in your name

I guess you forgot the part of the vow that said, "Til death do you part"

This goes with creditors and the credit bureaus having no idea you remarried etc.

All you have to do is contact the credit bureaus that are reporting the wrong info.

I wouldn't bother asking the ex what is up. She probably has no idea what is going on.

RE :Why is my ex address on my credit report?

All accounts that were open with my ex wife have been paid in full and closed since 2006. My ex wife re-married 3 years ago we have been divorced for at least 6 yrs. I moved out of state until this years and re married to another woman.

Update: Question is suppose to read (typo) Why is My Ex Wife's Address listed as mine. I never lived at my ex-wife's address. So why would my ex wife address be listed as mine for the past 5 years on experian and many people finding database search sites all over the internet. It looks like we are still married and living together to some degree why sometimes it looks like she is remarried but I live with them.

Update 2: My ex wife divorced me for a guy she had a crush on still from high school. She married first shortly after the divorce. I however waited years.

Contact the company showing this information. Inform them of your divorce and the fact that you are no longer connected with this person nor in any way responsible for her debts. Offer to provide them with proof of the divorce, your personal current credit information and give them a date to respond to you and have your information removed from her listing. If by the business date following the date you assigned they have not responded, then get a lawyer who specializes in debt resolution to take them and her to court.

You have the right to dispute any incorrect information with the credit bureaus. As for Intellus, I sometimes wonder where they get their information from. Most of it is trash.

it gives you an idea of how inaccurate information from the web is even if one pays for it. You should be delighted that not every tom dick and harry can find you :)
