You wont be charged with this because as you said your name is Michael and theirs in Martin

i'm undecided what u . s . a . you reside in yet in the US you may circulate to the closest police station and document a complaint against your ex-chum. The police might inspect the situation and after amassing each and all the suggestions, might ask you in case you may decide directly to press costs (take criminal action against the ex-chum). From there the criminal device might manage the rest. so a techniques as getting your funds and possessions returned, you are able to could hire an criminal expert and take this guy or woman to courtroom. in the U. S. we've what's called 'criminal help' that's fairly attorneys who symbolize those with little or no funds. i might recommend appearing some investigating and seeing if there is something like that for the duration of your section. in case you fairly do no longer decide directly to take criminal action, have the police or a chum accompany you on your ex-chum's domicile to retrieve your possessions. sturdy luck.

take your evidence to the job centre and explain they will call the police and the chances are it is someone you know . If it is clear you didnt have the giro no you wont have to pay it back. Good luck but dont panic

Report it to the police, go to the job centre and tell them your situation and go to the citizens advice an they will help you further
