Was sent credit card application by MBNA Bank, replied to it, was denied due to "too many credit obligations". I have 7 cards with a ZERO balance on all of them, a new car that cost $42,000, financed thru BMW put $28,000 down, and a monthly mortgage. What do they (MBNA) consider "too many credit obligations"? What gives with these idiots?

It looks like your problem is the amount of credit cards you have, not your debt load. There is a such a thing as too much credit, when the total amount of credit you have available to you becomes a turn-off to creditors. If you really want the MBNA card, par down the amount of cards you have, you obviously don't need 7 if you keep a zero balance on all of them, and then re-apply.
