I was approved for a loan with the Canadian Loan Group, I sent them my deposit via Money Gram on Tuesday July 17th and was told the funds would be in my account by July 19th "within 24-48hrs" the money did not come yesterday I got worried, something didn't feel right so I called Thomas Baker and he said it would be there by the end of the business day. When I was instructed to send the Money Gram he told me the only info to file in on the form for the reciever was some Alyssa name and Toronto Ontairio, no address company name or phone # so I decided to go ahead and put the company name on it anyways. I called theMoney Gram Branch the it was sent throught 2 days later and sure enough the funds were not recieved yet, I am asuming because the company name was on the form and they could be tracked!! I went back and got my deposit back.
For any of you that have transactions with this company pending call your Money Gram branch there is still a chance to get your money back!!!

I cannot believe how many people on yahoo answers are complaining about being ripped off by these losers. I dont get how so many people fell for this. We applied last week for this loan and there were so many red flags in the whole process. Then when they asked for a deposit to give a loan...that was the biggest flag. That makes no sense. Why would they need money to give you a loan...its the silliest thing Ive ever heard, and the fact that all these people just said ok and sent off money without even thinking that it was strange leaves me a little saddened with the stupidity of this world. The second they asked for a deposit we knew right then that it was a scam and we walked away. I am seriously appalled that so many people agreed to send in their money and actually believed that was normal. Any time you blindly decide to send someone money it would make sense to take 5 seconds first and google their company name...that would have saved you from all this trouble in the first place. Typing in "canadian loan group" brings up hundreds of things about this place being a scam...it would have taken you less then a minute to realize not to send them money. And then there are still others that are on here saying how they are going to get their money soon and will update when they get it??? Yeah ok!! what more do you need to realize that you got scammed...you will not be receiving your loan, you will also not be receiving that "deposit" back that they keep telling you is in the mail...thats just their way of getting you off their backs for a little while longer...your money is gone and you wont be getting it back. (Also, these guys go by a lot of different company names but they are all the same people.)

We are getting the same results, we have not received our refund cheque as well as our loan which we were told that it would be in Today (Thursday) and my husband has been trying to get a hold of them and no answer and has left messages 4 times and still nothing. What kind of business is this, because of them they are causing a lot of stress.

Thank god you put the company name on there. There are so many of these scam places around. Go to a reputable company or better yet go to family and friends for a loan.

Why would you have to send money to get a loan? Wasn't that enough of a tip off?
